Dr. Hunt is Pastor of First Baptist Church, Woodstock, GA. and currently serves as President of the Southern Baptist Convention. He is also well known as a mentor of ministers and laypeople. His annual conference for men held at First Baptist Woodstock has grown from 400 in 1993 to over 8,500 in 2008. He does multiple men's conferences and leadership training for pastors and lay leaders throughout the country each year. PRAY! for the people of Haiti as they struggle to survive and search for loved ones trapped amid the ruins; for the 10 percent of the Haitian people who are Baptist as they seek to minister to their neighbors in the midst of their own grief and loss; for Southern Baptist leaders as they make plans and work out the logisitcs of deploying Disaster Relief volunteers to Haiti; and for Southern Baptist Disaster Relief volunteers as they begin heading to the island nation to minister in the name of Jesus.
